Return to All Resources In the spirit of giving thanks: Cordial clients who lead by example 4 Minute Read Clients Company Recommended for you How we’re bringing the Cordial office vibe to our WFH environments Looking back at our first year of Cordial Cares Tenacity is a two-way street Jeni BishopDirector, Marketing To us, #BeCordial is more than a hashtag or a slogan, it’s a way of doing business. It’s a promise to our clients and our community that we will strive to create a lasting positive impact on those we interact with. In the spirit of giving thanks, we’d like to take a moment and express gratitude to our clients. We’re proud to partner with companies that inspire us every day, lead by example, and care about making their communities—locally and globally—a better place. Today, we’re highlighting some of the amazing work they’ve been doing. TOMS TOMS is an icon in corporate social responsibility, making the world a better place, one pair of shoes at a time. While traveling in Argentina in 2006, TOMS Founder Blake Mycoskie witnessed the hardships faced by children growing up without shoes. Wanting to help, he created TOMS Shoes, a company that would match every pair of shoes purchased with a new pair of shoes for a child in need. One for One®. What began as a simple idea has evolved into a powerful business model that helps address need and advance health, education and economic opportunity for children and their communities around the world. Since the company started they have given away over 60 million pairs of shoes to children in need. Learn more about the One for One program. Eddie Bauer Eddie Bauer is an iconic outerwear and clothing company helping their customers brave the outdoors in style and comfort. Since their founding they have been passionate about preserving our natural resources through their “Add a Dollar, Plant a Tree” program. Since the program began, Eddie Bauer has collected nearly $5 million to help preserve our forests. Their partnership with American Forests has created the most successful reforestation project by a non-forest-related business in the United States and has helped fund the planting of 2,000,000 trees for Mountains to Sound Greenway near Seattle, WA. Eddie Bauer also collected $500,000 to help fund the “Memorial Groves” program, which planted a tree in honor of every victim of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Through its newsletter, social media outlets, and website, the company—a certified B Corporation—spreads awareness about the unique nutritional and health value of seafood, the fragility of the ocean’s ecosystem, and the dangers of pollution and unsustainable fishing practices. To help ensure that future generations will enjoy the nourishing bounty of the sea, the company’s Vital Green program funds carbon-reduction programs, supports environmental advocacy groups, and innovated the use of recyclable/biodegradable SeaSaver shipping boxes to replace plastic foam. With 38% of land already used for agriculture and 41 million people in America alone struggling with food insecurity, finding solutions to our food access concerns cannot be ignored. The founders of Soylent took these facts to heart and used them to fuel their quest to create an affordable and accessible product that provided complete nutrition so it could be enjoyed by everyone, not just the elite. The democratization of nutrition was cornerstone to their product development and they continue to work to ensure that nutritious products are available to all. Over the years, Soylent has expanded their impact and philanthropic programs, developing what is now known as #SoylentForGood. The #SoylentForGood program has made financial contributions to causes that work every day on the front lines of fighting food insecurity. Learn more about Soylent’s mission.
